Present perfect tense
Direct: He said, “I have done the work.”
Indirect: He said that he had done the work.

Direct: My father said to me, “We are going there tomorrow.”
Indirect: My father told me that they were going there the next day.

Present perfect continuous tense
Direct: Amin said, “I have been working since 9 AM.”
Indirect: Amin said that he had been working since 9AM.

Direct: He said, “I have been working since sunrise.”
Indirect: He said that he had been working since sunrise.

Past indefinite tense
Direct: Arif said to us, “I waited an hour.”
Indirect: Arif told us that he had waited an hour.

Direct: Rafiq said to me, “I was ill.”
Indirect: Rafiq told me that he had been ill.

Direct: They said, “We won the game.”
Indirect: They said that they had won the game.

Direct: The teacher said that, “Mohsin was good and kind and helped everyone.”
Indirect: The teacher said that Mohsin was good and kind and he helped everyone.

Direct: He said, “My father died last November.”
Indirect: He said that his father had died last November.

Direct: Roney said, “The train reached at nine.”
Indirect: Roney said that the train had reached at nine.

Direct: You said me, “You do not do your duty.”
Indirect: You told me that I did not do my duty.

Past continuous tense
Direct: He said, “I was writing a letter.”
Indirect: He said that he had been writing a letter.

Direct: Sumi said, “I was suffering from fever.”
Indirect: Sumi said that she had been suffering from fever.

Future indefinite tense
Direct: Amin said, “I shall go to school.”
Indirect: Amin said that he would to school.

Direct: He said, “I shall be unable to come.”
Indirect: He said that he would be unable to come.

Direct: Rumi said, “I shall go home tomorrow.”
Indirect: Rumi said that she would go home the following day.

Direct: Farid said, “I will go to Dhaka on Friday.”
Indirect: Farid said that he would go to Dhaka on Friday.

Direct: My mother said, “I will have a glass of water.”
Indirect: My mother said that she would have a glass of water.

Direct: Munna said to Zuhan, “I shall come to you tomorrow.”
Indirect: Munna told Zuhan that he would go to him the following day.

Direct: She said to him, “I will call you as soon as possible.”
Indirect: she told him that she would call him as soon as possible.
