– Knowledge‑management, data visualisation and evidence generation for investment mobilisation
– Coordination with DPHE, BBS, DGHS, DGFP and UN‑Agency WASH Cluster partners
• Map each task to the skills and experience you have (e.g., survey design, ICT‑solution development, capacity‑building, stakeholder coordination).

2. MATCH YOUR PROFILE TO THE REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Education: ensure your degree(s) are clearly listed (Social Sciences, Urban Planning, Information Management, Water & Sanitation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology or related fields).
• Experience:
– At least 10 years in programme management, planning, monitoring, data management and reporting.
– Minimum 2 years in developing ICT‑based solutions for development programming.
– Document field implementation experience in rural or peri‑urban Bangladesh, especially in the water‑sanitation sector.
– Experience designing and managing surveys, including tool development and data‑management processes.
• Desirable competencies: data analysis, graphics, strategic thinking, stakeholder coordination, presentation skills, multilingual communication (Bangla and English).
• Prepare concrete examples (project names, dates, your role, outcomes, quantifiable results) that illustrate each required competency.

3. UPDATE YOUR CURRICULUM VITAE
• Use a clear, professional format: personal details, professional summary, education, work experience (most recent first), technical skills, languages, publications and references.
• In the professional summary, mention explicitly “National WASH Specialist – Evidence Generation and Knowledge Management” and cite the number of years of relevant experience.
• For each position, list achievements that align with the key tasks (e.g., “Led MICS‑7 data analysis for 12 districts, producing a water‑quality thematic report adopted by Ministry of Health.”).
• Highlight ICT experience: “Developed and managed a digital inventory management system for water‑supply assets, supporting over 300 users.”
• Include any UN, INGOs or government contracts, especially with the UN‑Agency or similar WASH projects.

4. PREPARE A TARGETED COVER LETTER
• Address it to the hiring manager or “Recruitment Committee”.
• Open with a concise statement of interest, mentioning the contract period, duty station (BCO) and your status as a Bangladeshi national.
• Summarise how your background meets each core requirement (education, experience, ICT skills, field implementation).
• Provide brief anecdotes that demonstrate:
– Successful evidence generation for policy making
– Management of a digital data warehouse or similar system
– Coordination with multiple government agencies and UN partners

• Conclude with your availability, willingness to travel to rural districts, and a statement of commitment to the UN‑Agency’s values.

5. GATHER SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
• Certified copies of academic degrees and transcripts.
• Certificates of relevant trainings (e.g., GIS, data‑visualisation, ESS).
• Reference letters (preferably from former supervisors in UN/NGO or government positions).
• Any publications, policy briefs or reports related to WASH, MICS, or digital data systems.
• Ensure all documents are in PDF format, named clearly (e.g., “CV_YourName.pdf”, “CoverLetter_YourName.pdf”).

6. RESEARCH THE ORGANISATION AND SECTOR
• Study E‑Zone HRM Limited’s mandate, past projects and its role as a third‑party service provider for the UN‑Agency.
• Review the UN‑Agency’s WASH Strategy, the 8th Five‑Year Plan of Bangladesh, and recent MICS‑7 findings.
• Familiarise yourself with the Digital Warehouse Management concept, existing tools used by DPHE and WASA, and best‑practice case studies from other countries.
• Identify current challenges in Bangladesh (urbanisation, climate change, financing gaps) and think of how evidence‑generation can address them.

7. PREPARE FOR THE SELECTION PROCESS
a) DOCUMENT VERIFICATION
– Verify that all scanned copies are legible and that your name and details are consistent across documents.
b) PRELIMINARY SCREENING QUESTIONS (if any)
– Draft concise answers that reference specific achievements and include numbers (e.g., “Managed a dataset of 25 000 water‑point records, improving data retrieval time by 40 %).”
c) INTERVIEW PREPARATION
– Anticipate technical questions:
* How would you design a data‑collection tool for WASH‑in‑Schools assessment?
* Describe your experience rolling out a digital supply management system at district level.
* What indicators would you prioritize for evidence generation to attract investment?
– Anticipate behavioural questions:
* Provide an example of a time you coordinated conflicting priorities among government ministries and UN partners.
* How do you handle tight deadlines while ensuring data quality?
– Prepare a 5‑minute “presentation” (in mind) summarising a past project that mirrors the tasks listed in the vacancy.
– Practice answering in both Bangla and English, emphasizing clear, concise communication.

8. REFINE YOUR TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Refresh your proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and PowerPoint (visualisation).
• Review any GIS or data‑management software you have used (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, DHIS2, KoboToolbox).
• If you have not used a digital warehouse platform recently, explore open‑source examples or demo videos to speak confidently about architecture, data security and user training.

9. LOGISTICS AND ADMINISTRATION
• Confirm that your bank account can receive the stipulated salary (BDT 3,600,000) and monthly DSA (BDT 50,000).
• Ensure you have a reliable internet connection and a functional laptop for possible virtual assessments.
• Prepare a short list of references (name, position, organization, email, phone) who can attest to your WASH and ICT experience.

10. SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION
• Follow the online portal instructions at the provided link (https://ezjobsbd.com/job/256).

• Set a reminder to follow up (if permissible) after two weeks to confirm receipt.
• Continue monitoring your email and phone for short‑list notifications; be ready to respond promptly to interview invitations.

12. CONTINGENCY PREPARATION
• If you are shortlisted, be prepared to travel to the interview venue on short notice; arrange transport and accommodation in advance.
